Infectious virus carried by mosquitoes: Zika Virus
In 2015, Zika fever prevailed in the American continent and is still spreading all over the world. The pathogen is Zika virus transferred by mosquitoes. The symptom is not so serious, but it may cause congenital disease to unborn children when it infects pregnant women. The molecular structure was solved by using electron microscopy. It is expected to develop the Zika virus vaccine by utilizing this information.
