Proteins, which created from the blueprint called genome, show their functions with various "shapes" and produce life phenomena. And they give us valuable hints to understand the mechanism of life. Now researchers make effort to know the shape of proteins with state-of-the-art machineries. The organization called wwPDB (worldwide Protein Data Bank) gathers the observed structural information to create database called PDB, and release it to all over the world. We PDBj are one of the partner of wwPDB.
